Cloud Drive is the online megastore's online storage service that starts with a free 5GB base plan that can scale to 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1,000 GB, priced at $1 per gigabyte, per year (ie. a 100GB plan runs $100/year). For a limited time, users who purchase an album from Amazon's MP3 store are automatically upgraded to a 20GB trial account for one year.

Quote:
First and foremost, Cloud Drive gives users a free solution for consolidating music collections that have been strewn across multiple computers and devices. There are similar products out there, but Amazon's scale, the breadth of their storage plans, and the popularity of their MP3 store will make Cloud Drive the service to beat in the music space.

Don't like posting an opinion directly in the OP, hence the dp.

As someone who has used it, I definitely like it more than the others I've tried. It gives me two things I've been looking for. Amie Street, which Amazon bought, gave you permanent access to anything you bought, so you can download them again. This is now available, because any purchases you make on Amazon are stored, without taking up space on your cloud drive.

Second, you can upload your own music to it, and listen to it on your phone. I'm not positive, but I think it's only Android right now.

I don't understand the fears/closed-mindedness you guys are expressing. Are you keeping some sort of secret documents in your cloud storage that you don't want others to have access to?

Do you not use dropbox??? You must not own both a desktop and a laptop.

This. I'm sure companies love having control of your data and the ISP's will love it when Mary Jane Sue gets the overage bill because she streamed all of her stuff.
