Dual Rad In A Single Loop Suggestions - TJ11 Diagram

post #1 of 13
Thread Starter
Hey,

I need a little help figuring out if my proposed layout will work in my TJ11 case.

Koolance 452X2 Res (in Series Configuration, Dual pumps) -> SR1 560 RAD -> SR1 360 RAD -> RAM -> CPU -> Chipset -> GPU -> back to Res

The diagram is not drawn to scale but it is close enough to the TJ11.

Or will it make a big difference if I change the layout in this order?

Koolance 452X2 Res (in Series Configuration, Dual pumps) -> SR1 560 RAD -> RAM -> CPU -> Chipset -> SR1 360 RAD -> GPU -> back to Res

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I would go with #2, that way the water has a chance to get cooled a bit before it splashes your gpu from your cpu

It shouldnt matter any ways as it will reach equilibrium eventually. Aso getting a 360 in a TJ11 is a really really tight fit FYI.

Its a sweet case. I love mine even more but I still need the middle airflow holes to grow on me.

Thanks all for the replies and suggestions. Initially I planned the layout to reflect the second option, suggested by JedixJarf, which is cooling the liquid prior to reaching the GPU from the CPU.

Koolance 452X2 Res (in Series Configuration, Dual pumps) -> SR1 560 RAD -> RAM -> CPU -> Chipset -> SR1 360 RAD -> GPU -> back to Res

However as pointed out by Kortwa, fitting the 360 RAD behind the Power Supply made the bottom chamber very difficult to work with, so I opted for a layout that requires less tubing without sacrificing too much performance.

The only one that I could come up with was by combining both RADs prior to reaching the first block in the loop. So this should be ok? Even though splitting the loop order makes more sense...

After a short time the water in the loop will equalize. It really does not make a deference as to the loop order, other then the pump should be the first connection after the res.

Yeah that also makes sense... I have read an article a while ago about the liquid temperature equalizing but couldn't remember the details nor the layout. Thanks!

I would have posted some pictures of my current build progress but sadly I broke my camera during the unboxing process... lol. The box and case are massive!

What are you cooling that needs a 360 AND a 560?
post #10 of 13

I know It is way overkill but I had the SR1 360 from my previous build so I decided to might as well add it to the loop.
