Thanks for the info. I actually just bought Crysis (hadn't played it yet, and want to since I set up my new rig), and I figure I'll give Crysis a playthrough and wait for a few of the reported Crysis 2 bugs to get sorted out before buying.

It is a really gorgeous game, and unlike number 1 it runs fantastic on my system, almost maxed out with the advanced configuration tool. Like really good performance. The visuals are on par with number 1 at the basic level and it runs WAY smoother.

I just finished the game on single player. Felt derivative of halo with the aliens and drop ships. The main aliens are basically hunters ha, and the big ones like those big guys in halo. I wished for a bit deeper of a story, was good, but not suck you in great.

I think one logical reason for Armor Mode consuming energy now is because it's way more advanced (and I love it).

As for the naming of things: it's "Suit Modules", and "Nano Catalyst". By the way, I recommend checking to see how much Nano Catalyst you have; you may have WAY less than you expect because it seems like I'm not the only one who's having Nano Catalyst issues. I mean, every single time I start a new level, I am reset to zero. Every single time I die, I come back with the same amount of Nano Catalyst that I had before, except I completely lose my Melee ability which forces me to have to close Crysis 2 itself and reopen it. Afterward, I have zero Nano Catalyst.

I guess it could be considered an accomplishment, but I didn't work at it; it just became second nature through the natural course of time.

Then it has to be yet another bug.

By the way, if you noticed that I split up your reply in multiple quotes, it's because I had no other choice. If I had left it the way you replied (where you added bold text to my quote), then I would have had to keep switching between tabs in order to see what you said, and it would have been very irritating. So by doing it like this, I was able to see what you typed while I was typing which made replying as easy as possible. So next time, try to split it up as I did so that whoever replies to you gets to see what you typed while they're typing.

I have no way to tell, but here's a link in case you're interesting in checking it out!

Ooo, thank you for the heads up! I'd try it right now, but I have Crysis 2 open in the background while I'm typing this (I needed a short break).

Another reason why people are hating Crysis 2 (like I was, for example) is because it's very, very, very, very, very different from the first Crysis. Crytek really meant what they said in regards to this being a very different experience! It's basically nothing like the first one, but yet it's better!

I think that this is a great idea! After all, Crysis 2 is a sequel!

I can't get around the fact that the story hardly relates to the crysis 1, and the gameplay stupid. Where's the suit power wheel like the old game?

It relates a lot to crysis. Theres still a lot to be desired, but its a trilogy for a reason. I've started to play it again on post-human warrior difficulty and saw quite a few things I missed before. In addition, the story a made a bit more sense. (same kind of thing that happened with dead space after playing it twice)

It looks to me like Crytek figured that they told Nomad's story, they told Psycho's story, so now they're telling Prophet's story (that's essentially what this is).

As for the game play being stupid: I thought so too at first, but I have made it through about 100 checkpoints in SP, and so I'm at a point now where I've really gotten to know the game very well. So what I'm saying is that while I thought it was stupid at first, it all makes perfect sense to me now which has enabled me to see that it's actually awesome.

As for middle-clicking to bring up the suit menu? That is no longer necessary. I haven't used it yet, and like I said before I've gone through at least ~100 checkpoints.

Here's why it's no longer needed: 'Q' is for Armor Mode, "E" is for Stealth (cloak mode), 'B' is for Visor Mode', 'C' is for customizing your weapon, and 'V' is for customizing the Nanosuit. Middle-clicking to access these functions is now obsolete. Plus, you can enable Power Mode to steady your aim by pressing Shift after you middle-click to bring up your weapon's sights. Try it with any weapon: start looking through your sights, and then hold down Shift (this also applies to Laser attachments!). I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how strong the new Nanosuit is; it's especially apparent when you do this while looking through either an Assault Scope or a Sniper Scope - especially while standing.

It gets better than that, though: you can steady your aim with Power Mode while you are cloaked. You no longer need to jump out of cloak mode, enable Maximum Strength, and then fire. So while you are cloaked, right-click for your weapon's sights, then hold Shift for Power Mode in order to steady your aim, uncloak, fire, and then cloak again. This means you can take your time while cloaked making sure your aim is precise. Caution: suit energy is drained while holding Shift, so only hold it down when you need it.

So in other words: you can use the mode we know as "Maximum Strength" while in Stealth (Cloak) Mode in order to steady your aim. On top of that, you can use Power Mode for extra-deadly melees while you're cloaked or while you are in Armor Mode (just as long as you have enough energy to PERFORM a Power Melee).

This is what they mean by being able to combine suit modes!

However, that's not all: if you have a silencer attached to your weapon, then you can get 1-3 shots off while cloaked without uncloaking because now it uses less suit energy to fire a Silenced weapon thanks to this new, stronger Nanosuit.

Naturally, it doesn't here. I could write a few hundred words on just the Visor Mode alone, especially once things are tagged!
