Another thing to consider is Razer's ultraglossy finish. Even with polishing, it will scratch and smudge like mad.

XArmor has the better product, only advantage of the Razer is macro keys.
...and price.

The XArmor is 40% more so is it worth it....

How loud are Cherry Blues? Louder that Alps Blacks?

I wouldn't get either personally, but if I had to pick one I'd take the Black widow with no backlighting. If I had to buy one I'd get the XArmor, because the BWU has so many things I hate.

If you mean the fukkas in the ABS M1, the blues are quieter.

I'm writing on a plain BW rigth now, I bought it because the ISO layout and the price.

But I don't like it a lot, looks ugly, the fonts used are idiotic, and this is not enough: the lower and upper case symbols are also inverted on the keys, the shiny surface is also a bad choice.
The keyboard arrived also with a partly stuck key. So I'm waiting for the RMA.

The blue switches are not good as I expected: there is a delay from the tactile point and the audible click due to the two strokes mechanism inside that switches.

So I ordered the other my choice the U9BL-S (I didn't before because the ANSI layout), but other than that seem a very nice keyboard.

It looks very nice, it has the detachable wrist rest, the keys are PCB mounted so they are easier to swap, it has the matte finish, a good font on the keys and the backlight has a better color.

If you are used with the ANSI layout I can't see a single reason to buy the BW over the U9BL or U9BL-S

I JUST got my XArmor U9BL-S delivered today. Been using it a couple hours, so smexy. Love the non-clicky and tactile feel without needing the extra force that blacks require. This is a very high quality keyboard and I feel like it was worth the extra $$.

The U9BL-S uses plate mounted switches, like the Razer. In my initial review of the U9BL (original version) I mistakenly identified it as PCB mount since I didn't bother to remove all the keycaps. I rectified that mistake later.

So the key designs are basically identical?

Not a great news for me , I missed your rectification.

Like I said, they're the same base design, based on the iOne M10BL which never got released. XArmor and Razer both made modifications to the design, ranging from different housings to major PCB revisions. But the basic construction is nearly identical. Both use an almost identical plate (Razer's has a few layout modifications) for keyswitch mounting, and the housings are of similar thickness and internal design.

Id go with the xarmor... well I DID go with the xarmor actually.

Reasons (and these are mostly my opinions):
Matte > Gloss (Nasty grime buildup sucks)
Top mounted ports > Right side ports (flash drives and cables in the way of my mouse? FEH!)
Better back-lighting
Better way of handling the media keys (imo)
Back-light on ALL key "print" vs only "lower case"
Standard Layout
Wrist rest is a nice bonus (although you could always buy/make a separate one)

The only downside IMO is loss of macros, but they really aren't THAT useful most of the time. For the times that you really need them you can use software (honestly how often do you use every single key on your keyboard that making some software binds is impossible?) Or you could grab something along the lines of a logi g13 or a scythe foot pedal or some other form of stand alone accessory.

I got the BWU my self because of the lower price and higher availability compared the steel series boards, this is my first ( of 2 razer owned products ) so I cant really tell how long it will last and TBH if there are a lot of complains about the keyboard then I can only say that they may have sold significantly more compared to the other brand.

Then again its all about preference.
