NEED HELP: Computer Case

I am shipping a gaming rig i built for a friend and hes half way across the united states. I am only shipping the tower and nothing else.
Its a Cooler Master 690 II if that matters.

I am wondering if shipping it in the original box with the foam inserts that the tower came in would be safe enough. (After all, it got here safely when it didnt have a mobo, cpu, gpu, dvd burner, harddrive in it). I really dont want any dammage during shipping. He spent over $1.5k on this rig i dont want to replace it.

Please give your opinion. If you have any better ways of shipping it PLEASE post it. I know some of you guys/ gals ship computers every now and then and i want to know how you normally do it.

I take a trash bag or something similar and lay it in the open PC so it fits to the parts as best that you can get it. Then I just fill it with packing peanuts and put the side back on. Has worked 100% of the time for me. Keeps everything pretty much where it should stay.
