[EA] Battlefield 3 - Fault Line : Episode III - Get that wire cut - Page 10

Looks pretty but it's definitely not realistic.. let's send a Marine by himself into a building full of enemies.. and let's send a Sgt, not a PFC

All you need is a decent quadcore.Just upgrade to a good quad and you should be fine for quite awhile.

It depends what your definition of "fine" is. For me, I need my system to be able to give me at least 60 FPS at all times, except for maybe extremely chaotic gameplay and then only momentarily. I'm kind of doubting that my current system is going to be able to handle 64 players with the kind of fluid gameplay I demand, let alone down the line if higher player limits are possible. My CPU might be okay, but Frostbite is a very graphics heavy engine and that is the determining factor for me.

So basically, I think it's definitely plausible that Stikes will need significant upgrades, even an LGA775 quad-core probably wouldn't cut it.

Rubbish. If a quad core isn't sufficient then thats a hell of alot of people who won't be able to play the game - Thats really not going to happen.

I'm fulling expecting my system to run this game on at least average to high settings. Unless there's a good reason for it - and i'll find out if there isn't. My system isn't cutting edge anymore, and is older than yours.

Kinda reminds me of Shogun 2; It has the Intel Core splash screen with the "Runs best on" garbage but in fact, it mostly uses only 1 core. Hardly optimized for a quad...

Ohhhh man, I've played Battlefield religiously since 1942, and I really, really can't wait for 3. BF2 and BC2 hold me over for now, but all my excitement lies in 3. Built a new comp just for it. BF3 has stolen the spot for #1 most anticipated game for me, over Diablo III, cause Blizzard is just too damn slow. Can't wait for it!

Any game will run on any hardware. Its just the matter of "how well it will run"
