Those hankering for Half-Life 2: Episode 3 - or even the big HL3 itself - hold onto your butts: Valve has categorically stated that it will be releasing a new Gordon Freeman adventure in future.
A reporter from AusGamers asked Valve marketing boss Doug Lombardi: "Will we ever see [more Half-Life]?"
He replied: "You will ever see it, yes. We are not done with Gordon Freeman's adventures. I have nothing other than that to tell you today, but hang in there with us."
It's not much - Lombardi himself nodded to his tight-lipped "non-answer" - but the confirmation that Half-Life is coming back in some shape or form will be music to Valve fans' ears.
Back in September last year, Valve teased that three "big surprises" would be revealed in the next 12 months. One of those appears to be the second DoTA game, but the developer has remained extremely coy over any talk of a new Half-Life. Lombardi's comment very much keeps the dream alive.
All eyes turn to E3 in June. But until that magical show, we've got Portal 2 to keep us company, which releases for PS3, 360 and PC next month.
