Thread Starter
I have a few Steam purchases, and I know its a good thing ... but ... I miss the glory days, the boxes, the big manuals that you never read

I might go make a Steam purchase now, just to do my bit for PC gaming lol

Yep, Gamestop abandoned PC games in my area...except for WOW. It seems (at least in my area) Walmart and Target have decided to increase their PC game stock, which has not been the case last year. The funny thing is, they used to sit out on the shelves like an unwanted step child while console games we're locked securely away behind glass displays. But now that a majority of PC games and bundle boxes are $60-$120..., they kicked any console games lower than $59.99 out of the shelves and take up two 2-3 entire cabinets. Not exactly the competition I want to see, but hey....at least they're given some attention now. lol

Not many people go to actual stores to buy PC games in the UK from what I have seen so they don't bother stocking anything other than The Sims etc..

I don't think they could beat online deals too..
This.. It's always been like this at my local GAME/Gamestation and all the other stores.

I'm glad that it happens, TBH. This means that whilst console gamers get jipped of every penny they'll ever earn, we can buy 4 or even 5+ decent games for the same price as one of theirs.

If I ever say I play CS or CSS in my college, they laugh at me and call me a nerd - -"

I know, its terrible. I have had endless debates saying PC gaming is better. But its like disabled David against Goliath in my college.

Only now are they starting to realize the 59.99$ retail model is flawed.

It's a shame they'll never experience what it's like to play CSS against your friends. It's so much more fun than any other shooter.
