I think the system may be a little "dated" am sorry to say. You might just keep experiencing little problems with it no matter what you try. I've been in your situation for about 5 years mate.

Like suggested, if you search for "460 problems" and find you have similar symptoms, you are screwed(If replacing the other hardware doesn't work). The 560 is basically a souped up 460. Stuttering and GPU usage issues was the reason I went back to ATI.

nVidia has been saying it's driver related but haven't bothered to fix it, and probably never will.

3GB of memory in dual channel slots. sounds like the problem. 2GB or 4GB the latter would be better.

Same here. My quad 470 sli was horrid, even a single 470 did not work!
