I am thinking more Japan/anime with Gundam or mech-suits. Demo had me lolling.

This demo runs on Nvidia cards too so those on the green team can enjoy it too.

The HK2207 real-time demo features a number of post processing effects (depth-of-field, lens flare, ghosting, aerial perspective/atmospheric, LUT, emissive and reflection) provided as an easy approach for developers and artists to adopt Microsoft® DirectX® 11 programming. This demo also uses a current trend in game engines utilizing deferred lighting and deferred shading allowing many more lights and rapid prototyping. A newly developed GPU accelerated physics particle system is introduced utilizing DX11 DirectCompute. Bullet Physics is used with a new fracture/destruction approach that also features procedurally generated unique debris leveraging DX11 tessellation.
for those who just watch the video and didnt read the article

The problem is it looks terrible. If they are going to release these videos they need to show what the technology is doing, otherwise to us and everyone else it just looks like a poorly made game.

"Now available" ?

It's been out for more than 3 months now!

I know because I downloaded this demo back in December. Somehow, even though the model quality is bad, the performance wasn't all that great on my overclocked 6870.

Anywho, after a quick Google search apparently OP got confused. The new v1.2 update to the HK2207 demo was just recently released, not the demo itself.

API != Way things are rendered.

Why do people think this? This video is about DirectX 11 API features, NOT good-looking games.

because there just showing off some features aka the API its not about how good it looks its just showing off one little bit of what dx11 can do
