But its hard to find all of this on the same keyboard. If you can live without backlight you could go with Filco. It has brown/black/blue switches and keyboard is really well made (according to reviews and some users here on forum). It also comes with UK layout

http://www.keyboardco.com/

Yeah but without the backlight I might as well make do with this keyboard that I have now.
Incidentally though filco is on my list of companies that I have emailed asking if they will custom make me a keyboard to specification. I figure if there is not one for sale then il just pay to make it happen and if it happens it'l be extra cool because my keyboard will be totally unique.

No way, you can't get ISO layout + mechanical + backlight at the same time, just two of them.

I tried mechanical + UK layout (black widow) and I don't liked it.

So i decided to give a try to the Xarmor U9BL-S. It should be already in Europe, so i hope to have it for Monday, it meets almost all my needs other than the ISO layout: is reasonably priced, looks nice, has the usb hub, and the volume keys (tough in second function) and the brown switches.

Yep see I actually ordered that on amazon then cancelled the order. I just can't bring myself to compromise and put up with the US layout. Its the little enter and the slash in the worng place that bugs me the most. Plus ordering from USA means it would not arrive till mid april and would cost loads extra in import duty. I think its bloody crap you can't get such a simple request in uk.

How they can live with the tiny enter is still a misery for me, btw i have decided that the retroillumination is more important for me than the layout so I pulled the trigger and I ordered it from ergogeeck.

I ordered the keyboard on 28/03, it's arrived in Milan this evening (and is probably blocked in the toll).

Three days from California to Italy is really not too bad.

Should be roughly 23% here (VAT+Import fees), but seem that the process is affected by some degree of fuzziness, at least here in Italy, so could be the worst part of the whole operation.

Altoug I'm in Italy i recently discovered the UK layout and I find it very nice, so I'm with you, sadly the razer reclusa ultimate is available in FR an DE layout, both are ISO, and given that the keys are lasered after they are in place on the keyboard, printing the UK or Italian layout should be very easy, so is even less understandable the lack of more layout.

Just a tip on your Deathadder being inaccurate did oyu install the newest drivers and flash the latest firmware? Mine was a little jittery until I flashed the firmware to the latest version.

Yeah all latest everything. To be honest things just feel so cheap now. The shiny plastic especially feels really cheap. It's ok though I seem to be doing ok in games if I turn the game sensitivity right down.

You are right. I think it's just laziness. If you look on the deck forum people ask about when they will support UK layout and they just tell them no plans and lock the threads. Would it be that hard to swap a few keys around? Sigh.

I wondered about perhaps getting a filco then doing a mod and putting an rgb led under each key. Then asking filco if they would make me some keys but use clear plastic with black sprayed over minus the lettering. Then I could do a mod and id be able to control the led's myself to any colour too.

Its not that easy to switch from us to uk layout for manufacturer if they didn't think of that in the start. They would need to design new pcb and wiring would be a bit different and so on. On the other hand Uk layout = ISO layout that most euro countries use with few different characters here and there. (new market new possibilities )

Oh and about those keycaps its not just put different plastic in machine and press them out. Transparent plastic has different cooling curves and stuff and all these things must be calculated or simulated before they start doing it. Other thing is you can press out one set and you are done.
