Buy an Asus Xonar D1 or DX.
You need an amp.

Using those headphones without a sound card is a HUGE waste bordering on stupidity.
No offense intended but if you know enough to buy those headphones you should know enough to get a good sound card with them.

Agreed, definitel need an amp. I always recommend external DAC/amp solutions. They offer better sound quality and greater flexibility at comparable prices.

I normally only recommend external DAC/Amp if music is the primary use.
For gaming an X-Fi or a Xonar card is my recommendation.

OP, you are disappointed because you are running a high end set of speakers on what is essentially no sound at all. There isnt an onboard audio set im aware of that can do those headphones justice.
Buy a sound card, and you will not be disappointed.

Yeah, I'm most framilair with the music end of audio, and OP didnt really give an intended use. That said I don't see much reason to go the soundcard route other than convenience/space issues, slight performance gain in gaming, and software included. But in any case, you probably won't hear a huge difference between good solutions in either camp and it definitely will be an upgrade.

Let me guess, you listen to bassy music but bought the HD595's but to compensate for it's frequency response that's bass light, you bump up the volume.....

YOUR HEARING! PLEASE TAKE CARE OF IT!

Please refrain from giving good advice to people destroying their ears.

This seriously kills the lols for the rest of us when they complain they can't hear anything.

This doesn't make sense. Just turn the volume down. What is the source that the headphones are connected to that doesn't have a volume control?

Edit: I get it now. It's not loud enough. I'm afraid for your hearing.
Edit2: But yes. You can buy an external amp.
