R4/AceKards/etc. - Page 2

I've only tried AceKard 2i which is even compatible with DS 3Ds with latest firmware and OS. I got mine from a USA retailer which takes paypal. I've bought some for friends and family and never gotten a fake one.

I think I paid 13.99 for mine + shipping. There are some other places where you can get it cheaper, but you have to risk getting a fake and use your CC and who knows how trusthworthy they are.

That's also true.

This site "credible"?

I would be careful using those, they have new protection scheme where if your detected using an R4/supercard etc Nintendo will brick your system.

i know the 3DS & DSi does this. Older fat DS and DS lite may be okay but via system update they may patch the protection in.

It may be preventable with a Kernal update but I quit using my R4 years ago.

No, the older DS and DS Lite aren't susceptible to any risk, whatsoever.
Also, if Nintendo were to actually brick your device, that would be a stupid decision on their part. What financial gain would they get from purposefully bricking a device?

Its safe to use any sort of Flashcart/PassMe device on a DS as long as you make sure your device is compatible and flashed to the latest release, and you don't update your DS the instant an update comes available.
