You can exercise while charging your laptop. If they implement this for everything that would shrink the obesity rate by at least 90%.

Our body "wastes" so much energy (Given off as heat.etc). We wouldn't we losing energy ourselves, we would be recycling energy or using the unused energy.

If you want to get all technical, it's not really the food you eat that provides energy for your. That energy comes from the oxidation of C-H bonds (hence the generation of CO2). Food is just a source of C-H bonds for your body to break.

Dr. Wang is obviously a terminator wanting us to give up our energy willingly until he finishes building the matrix.

=( Really people, really.... There's a bunch of ways our body provides energy besides just heat, you just have to be more creative to get it. =)

Though this is way old newse, we've known the human body is an energy source for............ Well we already power our own vehicles, common.

[edit] I also forgot, we don't really sleep to replinish our physical body. It's really a unique situation as we aren't quite sure exactly why we sleep. Current beliefs are that it aids in memory, or something with the brain needing down time. We do know physical recooperation is way below the 7-8 hrs of sleep that is supposed to be averate/required. Our bodies physically need like a couple hours of sleep, it has to do with the fact that we repair ourselves physically all the time.

I am aware that sleep lets us go into a state where our body pushes less oxygen, letting us "repair" bad wounds, but this happens regardless of sleep or not (just a matter of time). Sleep aids physical repair, but is non-essential.
