560 Ti worth it over gtx 460 SC?

I wanna get this. I have the game but mainly looking for a reason to get a upgrade and the clocks are nice. I'm not a big fan of overclocking the new fermis cuz it requires voltage clocks. Man it was easier to clock the old cards in the old days Not worth the risk for just 1 or 2 fps gain.

However i want the t shirt and poster and heck even the card.

Is it worth it? I don't care about the price. I just know it's designed better than gtx 460 but isn't the gtx 560 Ti same as gtx 460 but on steroids?

not really worth it if you already have a 460.. i'd use that money for an SSD instead... or maybe 460 SLI depending on what games u play

Its about 30% faster at stock. if you get it to 1ghz it matches a stock 570.

But not enough to be worth an upgrade I would suggest waiting for the 28nm 660 gtx, at the end of the year.

The 560 is a significant ammount more powerful than the 460 SuperClocked Edition.

If money is not an issue and you need a better graphics card, then sure y not?

Interesting advice. Keep them rolling. I want more knowledge from people who know much about it too.

Sure another gtx 460 seems like a great idea. gtx 660? Huh? Source?

If you're not gonna overclock then maybe you should go for the Gigabyte GTX 560 SuperOverclock edition.

By the end of this year Nvidia should release the Kepler GPUs. The GTX 660 (or whatever they might call it) will prolly be as powerful as a GTX 580.

Actually they're closer in performance than you might think. It's true that 560s are ~30% faster than stock 460s, but clock for clock there is only a 10-15% difference.

@OP, if your 460 is a good overclocker, you won't see much improvement in the upgrade.

That's the jump I made, from a EVGA 460 SC EE to a EVGA 560ti OC. Quieter, cooler, and an easy 950 core clock w/o bumping voltage. No regrets.

I'm not touching Gigabyte cards. I always touch EVGA brands because they have good warranty and customer service. EVGA only!

That's a nice clock. I would overclock the superclocked edition i have but i read EVGA forums that these cards can't lock much as further and they are set the way they are overclocked. Yes a gtx 560 Ti would be wise because benchmark does show sli gtx 560 Ti is benched well.

I just might upgrade. We'll see.
