I ran my MSI AMD 6870 Twin Frozr II card at 1Ghz core clock 24/7 stable. So yes, it does over clock nicely.

Keep in mind though all cards can vary in mileage even from same brand if you don't get good binned vram. It's a luck of the draw sometimes and not across the board even. Most of us post on experience, mine was good where someone else's was horrible. For the most part a majority over clock their AMD 6870's nicely.
