Either way, no point in discussing this further. It's obvious you don't plan on budging from your position and I won't be either
So it's alright that they said they would do one thing, and did the opposite? They certainly do owe me something, THE GOD DAMN GAME THEY PROMISED TO DELIVER. That and the truth.

Guys, I'm going to admit it. Yesterday I was cheating. And I wasn't doing it because I suck at the game. No, I was doing it just to prove a point, and that point is even though I have no experience creating hacks for a video game, that crysis 2 security is so bad that it is simple game files that you can change that create the hacks. It's pretty much just like editing the graphic settings with notepad.

For instance, yesterday I had it enable that whenever I spawned, I had every killstreak reward. All I had to do was press P once and they all went off. I also have it enabled that every time I killed someone, I got 999 experience instead of the default. Oh, and I'm already on rank 50 with every non-leveled perk. I'm still figuring out how to raise the armor, strength, and stealth levels, but I'm sure if I stumble further I'll find it.

And to be honest, the only reason I started snooping around the files yesterday was because I was on level 8 and it reset me to 1 again. That was the third time it reset me, and I had it. It's stupid that all these settings are client side and not server based. That right there would solve 85% of the problems with cheating.

Don't buy it if you feel that they didn't deliver on their promise, simple as that. They DON'T owe you anything because it's THEIR game. They could've made Crysis 2 with dx7 if they wanted(rofl @ dx7). It's THEIR game, they HAVE THE RIGHT to make it the WAY THEY WANT!!!!! What part of that is hard to understand?

What's with most people's mindset on OCN that developers actually own them something? I'm starting to think that pc gamers are actually as mature as console gamers due to this entitlement issue

lol, yes they also do have the right to watch it fail, but, I don't believe that it's as much of a failure as some OCN members believe it is

Wow, if that's truly the state of their security that is terrible. Why in the heck would they have their stats and achievements client-side authoritative? I would hope they at least have ways of detecting and recording what they're receiving from clients so they can ban all of the cheaters soon.

This is why I never liked Online games (except when I was younger).

Hacks.

Well, not unless my friends "force" me to and just drop my brain and just enjoy w/e we're doing.

So, SP's where the fun's at! (Subjective, I know.)

You do know sooner later they are gonna finish the update and you will get banned and rank reset probably for that.

Also they are already on their servers. They are just reading for exploits then crytek is gonna work on the next patch to prevent the exploit. Bad call for you to test a cheat. Probably in the system already now. Even your account.
