3DS Street Pass....

Thread Starter
So I keep my 3ds on all the time like it says in case I pass someone with a 3ds so we exchange info via streetpass and get eachother's Mii's and coins or whatever. But for some reason, I'm yet to receive a single Street Pass... I've gone all over the place with it in my pocket or backpack.

Anyone else having trouble with the street pass feature or have any ideas on how to get these "street passes" for the hats and whatnot? /sigh

Yeah I'm not sure. The concept is basically you walk by someone or near someone who also has a 3ds and both 3ds's will recognize each other. They will than exchange "Mii's", the avatars, I think, and also give you coins and stuff for your avatar I believe.

Probably just haven't walked by anyone with a 3DS.

StreetPass is a neat idea, but I can't see it being very useful here in the States, outside of conventions or scheduled get togethers. I imagine that most folks will have their 3DS powered down when not in use, even though sleep mode has next to no impact on battery life.

I hope I'm wrong though, because I can see games coming up with really creative uses for it.

Did you enable street pass? I heard it also helps if you have the latest firmware.

Yup, have everything updated and whatnot and have checked several times that its enabled. Even went to gamestop and didn't hit any street passes lol.

Find someone that has a DS 3D with that game and see if it works. With how long the battery lasts I bet most ppl power them off just in case it consumes when power while in sleep mode.

Did you start up the Mii game and enable street pass in that and any of your other games? To make sure that its registered for streetpass you can go to settings and click Data Management and it shows what games are registered to use streetpass. And make sure to keep your wireless on while the DS is closed in sleep mode for it to work. If you already have that, then your just not walking by people who have 3DS's

Yeah I started up the Mii game and enabled street pass in other games. I keep it in sleep mode all the time. I guess I haven't walked by anyone with one yet. So far I've hit 12 street passes, 1 in an airport, and the others i happened to walk by a "nintendo 3ds booth" with mine and got the other 11 lol.
