Moving from RAID 0, need more space...

Hello Everybody,
I have 4x WD Black Edition 4TB drives, on a 780i motherboard (my sig rig) that can do RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5, JBOD. the motherboard supports 128k,64k,32k,16k,8k,and 4k stripe block sizes (I think that means sector size).

I was running two of the drives in a raid 0, and had 610 gb of data on them. I was going to unload another 120GB of data from my dad's HD camera, but I thought that this would be the perfect time to upgrade my space (as I have another 750GB hard drive lying around)

So, what I did was take the usefull data, put it on the 750gb drive, and I bought two more WD 1TB black ediditon drives. So now I have 4x WD Black Edition 4TB drives in my computer, and i"m not sure what's the best way to set them up.

my options are RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5, and JBOD. I would like to have some redundancy, as a lot of my home videos are going to be on these drives. (spent almost a week transferring from vcr tapes to digital files...)

I was thinking of running a raid 5, because it supposedly has the most space, with redundancy, but apparently it is slow, which i'm not sure about.

Also, When I was trying to install windows on the 2.7 TB raid 5 that I temporarily set-up, windows 7 64-bit would not format the entire raid array, just 2tb of it. The other 700gb was not modifiable and it kept giving me a error 0x80042468.

If you could please give me a good idea on how to set these drives up, I would really appreciate it.

Your setup doesn't support more than 2TB at a time (they have to be set up with 4k sectors, I don't think your motherboard supports it, so you would need a special raid card that supports it) - the way I would recommend setting it up would be to do two drives in Raid-0 and then use the other two drives as storage (make one for photos and one for music, or how ever you want to set it up)

I just checked the raid setting in the bios, and my computer does support 4k sectors
It says "Stripe Block:" and then a selection box that give me the option to do 128k,64k,32k,16k,8k,and 4k.

Does that open up any options that have more redundancy?
