Hello OCN,

I have a Motorola SBG901 for my roommates and I (5 of us in all). I am having problems lately with speeds during games. When two or more of us are in any type of game, the ping skyrockets to 400 ms and a speed test is ridiculous (during this time). It is about 0.5 Mbps download and 0.1 or less upload. Without games it is much less and download is around 7 Mbps and upload is around 4 Mbps.

This is a router and modem all in one unit, could that be a problem?

Note that none of us torrent or do anything illegal with tons of bandwidth (when I say none, I mean NONE).

I am going to call Comcast tomorrow to complain to see if that is the issue.

If it isn't, then it might be our modem/router. Would any settings fix what is happening that you know of?

Thanks
BigAl

EDIT: This might help too:
In the event log, there are a bunch of these:
Time Not Established Critical (3) DHCP FAILED - Requested Info not supported.
