Dell U2311H - Best price?

Just curious what other's have gotten this monitor for. Right now it's at $280 with Free Shipping.

I've seen it @ 25% off, but did it also include free shipping?

Just wondering if I should pull the trigger now or wait it out...

Brand new, directly from Dell, the lowest I've seen it is $249 before tax. Refurbs, and or ebay wholesale sellers have gone as low as $200 IIRC.

Thanks for the quick reply. Think I should just buy it then at 280 and call it a day?

If you need the monitor now, sure. $280 (counting tax?) is still pretty good really.

If the price drops again in the next week or so Dell might price-match it for you anyway.

I bought mine for $280 and a few days later the 25% off came. Could have saved a few bucks, so I called a few times to a few different people(you know how Dell is). I ended up making a deal that when I got it they would give me $20 back to my checking account. It was either that, or they would have to stop production of my purchase and put a new one in, which would take another 10-14 days. So with that, I would say go for it... if they put out another deal, just find the right person to talk too.

Edit: Also to add, if you have to call Dell try to "read" the person that you're talking with. Sometimes I just have to be really polite, and others very aggressive. Unfortunately when I got down to my 4-5th call I ended up just taking the aggressive option, then viola $20. Took about 30min for $20 so I'm not complaining.

They don't have any policy to price match, most companies have dropped that policy in recent years even Newegg, etc. But unlike Dell, Newegg is very easy to talk too and if the shipment hasn't been received then they will match the price 99% of the time without hassle. Dell on the other hand requires you to cancel the order, then reorder. If you catch it quick it's not a big deal. But My u2311h was about in it's 12th day of production.

I honestly have no idea, first time I've purchased a monitor directly from Dell.

Ask Doogie. I haven't had to haggle with them personally. I've just read about other OCNers doing it.

Edit: ^ and there ya have it

I have this crazy idea that come April 1st i'm going to see something crazy pop up.

The current offer has free 7 day shipping. It looks like it's in stock, was it out of stock when you purchased yours - hence the 12th day of production?

Thanks for all the info gents
