The current offer has free 7 day shipping. It looks like it's in stock, was it out of stock when you purchased yours - hence the 12th day of production?

Thanks for all the info gents
I could be wrong, but I believe Dell makes things to order. So it's in stock, yes... but they have to make it first. Not sure if anyone could confirm this or not.

Looks like you were right about the production. Sounds like getting the cash out, if it goes lower, could be tricky though.

"QCan I cancel my order?
AIf you have ordered a Dell system:

It’s only possible to cancel your order before we start to manufacture it.
To check if it’s still possible to cancel your order, please go to the
Dell Order Status tool

If your order is listed as “Pending” or “Order Processing” , you
may still be able to cancel your order – please call us right away
on 1-800-624-9897.

If your order is listed as “In production” or “Shipped” it’s no longer
possible to cancel it. However, after you receive delivery of your
order, you still have the option to return it to Dell within 21 days of
the invoice date. Unless the product is defective or the return is a
direct result of a Dell error, a restocking fee may apply of up to 15%
of the purchase price paid, plus any applicable sales tax.
Note: If your order is delayed by Dell, you will receive notice and the option to
cancel the order in accordance with the FTC’s Mail Order Rule.

Yeah that sounds about right. I would like to add though, even though it's within their policy that you cannot cancel you're order in production, everyone I talked too on the phone were instantly offering me to cancel my order although it was in the "production" phase for quite awhile.

Sounds good. So for you, the difference between your 280 purchase price and the 25% coupon, when all is said and done, was 20?

If so, I may as well take my chances like you did

With my 6% tax the difference was about ~$30. I just jumped on the $20 deal because that was the best I could get and I didn't want to make more calls and risk $20 over an extra $10.

Michigan tax is 6%, may be slightly different in your state but the difference should ultimately come out to be the same.

Well just pulled the trigger. Hopefully my gut feeling it's going to go down on Friday won't come true

Total was $302. A bit more than I wanted. Order from Arizona. Basically Breakdown was this:

$320 retail
-40 discount
=$280 + Free 7 Day Shipping + Tax
=$302

Even so, I may be able to cancel it or get a refund. I'll keep this thread updated with the status.

Thanks again for info

The last 25% deal ended I believe just under a couple weeks ago, I doubt that they'll throw out the same one anytime soon. But either way, it's a great monitor and $300 w/tax for a quality IPS monitor is a steal.

Would've loved to get the U2711 or even U3011, but it's simply just too expensive. Did a TON of research, and I think this monitor is going to be superb for the price.

Is the monitor calibrated fairly well out of the box? Was thinking of getting a cheap calibrator, but not sure if it's worth it due to the low cost of the monitor (in the world of top notch monitors that is)
