6870 CF vs 6950 2gb vs 570

I'm thinking of getting either
6870 CF ( i can get them for $360 after rebates)
6950 ( around $250 )
570 ( around $ 300 )

6870 CF
- Best performer here
- Will last me for 3 years at least?

6950
- Can flash to 6970
- Can add 1 more later on?

570
- Best single card here
- PhysX

Which one should i get guys o-o!

To stay on your choices only, crossfire the AMD 6870's best performance.

How many watts on your PSU?

Which brand are you getting for $360 after rebates btw?

Given your CPU you may bottleneck those however.

The best choise i say is to buy a 6950 flash to 6970 and when you need more power you buy another one . I see gpu with a switch on the board the make 6950-->6970 Powercolor 6950 2 gb if i'm not mistaken .Sorry for my bad english .Peace.
Second choice , you buy 2x gtx 460 1 gb gainward or Gigabyte , Second hand ( 200-250 $ )and will be like gtx 580 in games.

6870 Xfire. If your on a budget, you can wait for HD6790s(couple weeks) and have a ~250$ setup that will have as good and occasionally better performance than any single gpu card available. They will hold you over till 28nm at least.

Put the other money towards an SSD or something.

Otherwise, 1x 6950, then wait for 28nm and get another 6950 for a wonderful price.

My point is none of your options are bad. Whatever is in range right now, go for.thumb.gif

The problem with the 6870 cfx is you're buying into a dead end.

Yeah but it's more than good enough for now and 6950 cfx isn't that much better.

That's 360 bucks for now... dude. I like my money to stretch a ways and buying dead end cards, not my style.

Obviously, if the OP was on a very tight budget a 6870 is a good buy, but the dude is thinking of dropping 360 bucks. Get a better card cuz you obviously have the cash, and then when you go to eyefinity later you won't be kicking yourself for buying not one, but two 1gb vram cards.
