xd's Ultimate Mozilla Firefox Recommended Add-Ons List - Page 10

Just found this one and don't know if it's on the list. Sure looks to be useful.

The Firefox add-on Copy Links ... adds two options to the Firefox right-click menu: Copy selected links and copy all links.

Both options are more or less self-explanatory. Copy selected links copies all website addresses that are currently selected on the active page, which can be all if you press Ctrl-a on the page or selected everything on the page manually with the mouse.

The good thing about that is that JDownloader will only pick up links pointing to supported pages which means you end up with a filtered list of links in JDownloader’s Linkgrabber listing.

I'll be back in the game soon, just need to catch up!
I want to add screenshots to this list somehow, at the moment I'm figuring out how to pull it off

I think you are trying, with all the right intentions, to do too much. Remember it takes 1 unit of work to achieve 80% of perfection and 1 more unit of work to achieve the remaining 20 percent.

You have too good a mind to waste on continued hand-holding. List 'em up a and let people decide for themselves. You have opened the door nicely. Now it's time for everyone interested to walk through it.

If they need a screenshot to decide, well then I'm guessing someone still holds their hand when crossing the street. rolleyes.gif

I looked at the Add on compatibility reporter you showed and it says this:
Quote:
After installing the Add-on Compatibility Reporter, your incompatible extensions will become enabled for you to test whether they still work with the version of Firefox or Thunderbird that you're using.

So it looks like there is no need the change the config file.

The add-on compatibility reporter also works in the same way as my addon compatibility tweak.
Anyways, it's really been awhile since I updated this... I think it might be time to start looking for new addons.

Tab Mix Plus actually slows down startup time 49%. Not a problem on Hexagonal but on other computers with hard disks and not SSDs it could be a problem. I know there are plenty of alternatives, one I used before, but does anyone know if there is any alternative that includes the "copy tab URL" function in the context menu?

I wonder if Waterfox is multicore aware, or can you make it multicore aware? Nightly only seems to use 1 core and this can make for slower startup with saved session.

I saw this on the featured addons. Tab mix plus was also featured. I've never used this addon before though.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/session-manager/
Quote:
Session Manager saves and restores the state of all or some windows - either when you want it or automatically at startup, after crashes or periodically. It can also automatically save the state of open windows individually.

This extension replaces SessionSaver and Tab Mix Plus' session manager. It stores more data than both of them and should be more reliable in saving and restoring. Although it is not recommended to have more than one session related extension installed, Session Manager is compatible at least with Tab Mix Plus. It can import sessions from both SessionSaver and Tab Mix Plus.

I don't think it has any context menu features though.

You don't have firefox throttle? I have a modded version on my array somewhere with version limiter removed.

I think I'm going to start updating this again smile.gif
With my life priorities being reorganized, I think it's time to renew my Firefox experience yet again and expand my recommendations for different purposes.
