Apparently the 3ds battery is crap...

So the 3ds battery only lasts about 3 hours. I'm wondering if I could get a higher quality battery and put it in there so the battery life could be longer or if that is even possible?

I've found the nyco pack option, but it only adds a couple of hours, from the looks of it, the battery is a lithium ion battery, looks like a cell phone battery, I'm thinking you could buy a high quality one for cheap somewhere and use it instead. Any ideas if this would work?

The only replacement battery I could find is this one. Sold by several different websites. Don't know if it improves battery life though.

And that nyko thing looks too big. I wouldn't want to carry that around all the time.

If it even lasts 3 hours. I returned the ones I got at Amazon and the one I opened the battery only lasted like 1 hour max. However, I did not charge it nor I know it was at full.

anyways I just couldn't play them my eyes can't take the 3D effect.

Lies

I have a 3DS and I played 4-5 hours before the battery turned low and I charged it.

It's 3 hours with max brightness and 3D on. I play with level 3/5 in 3D and I get about 5 hours.
The Nyko pack is pretty good. It ranges from 5.5 to 9 hours of gameplay.
