Blank DAS keys?

Is there anywhere that sells them? I just ordered the professional, but if I ever grow the balls I want the blank keys. Is there anything short of buying an ultimate?

That sucks. The only difference between the two models is the keys...

They don't sell them separately.

Das makes more money selling the keyboards.

I'm surprised there isn't a company somewhere that makes keys. Don't all cherry mx switches fit the same keys?

See the All About Keys wiki.

When compatible the Key Reference Wiki then lists them.

Signature Plastic makes keys, but they're rather thin. However, there's been 2 group buys for custom Signature Plastic Cherry MX double shot keys. The second group buy included various blank keys.

I guess I'm just surprised that this stuff isn't out there. I get the keyboard on monday, but I'm just a little disappointed in the lack customization.

I've emailed them about this a while back.

Das doesn't sell keys that way, since every key line has a unique profile and they're afraid some nub is going to install it improperly.

They do however have a one year warranty on all their keyboards, and if you return your keyboard within that year you can exchange it for different keycaps or different switches.

Hello,
|
| Thanks for contacting us and for your order!
|
| We do not have blank key caps for sale because it is very difficult to change the larger keys out. If you decide you want a blank keyboard you can exchange the keyboard within the one year return policy and the only cost to you is shipping both ways.
|
| Please let me know if you have any other questions.
|
| Kind regards,
