I am thinking of getting a 5970 to replace one of my trifre 5870 so I can have quad fire my question is which brand of 5970 is best to get? And are all 5970 voltage unlock please help a nood

TBH if price is not an issue for you(which it seems like it's not) I would go with one of the following, from what I can tell these are the best ones to get:

MSI R5970
Sapphire HD 5970
ATI Radeon 5970


Those cards are hard to find now-a-days.. Lol

90% of the time when I see a 5970 review it's either Asus, ATI OEM, or Sapphire.

My top pick would be Asus, with Sapphire coming in second.

I think that's because they're the only manufacturers who sell them below the $700 mark.

i would also like to know this will a 5970 card play nice with my 2 sapphire vapor X OC edition 5870 which voltage can not be change.

i have a sapphire 5970 ref working with a asus 5870 ref i dont have 2 cards connected to it but from what iv heard people say quad fire scales poorly might be better off keeping your tri fire.

I currently have an Asus 5970 and sapphire 5870 reference. Both cards are great, but Ill be RMA'ing the 5970. You wont go wrong with either thats for sure
