If your going to be running an ITX board how are you going to have space for both the dedicated gpu and the capture card.
Also if your satellite box has arial out then you might be better off getting an Hauppauge card. I do know it works however I have not tried it as I only record freeview at home. Sky in the UK uses DVD-S2 so any card that supports that should work.
As for the spec is there any reason it needs to be itx? If not it might be worth looking at mATX AMD.
For software I use XBMC but the recording plug in is still a little buggy sometimes. Win MCE imo is the best software for recording but for everything else its a bit crap and the formats it records in is annoying
Hi there. This box is for South Africa, and the satellite there has composite video out at the moment, so I wouldn't be able to use what you are mentioning.
Also, the reason for the HD capture card (not the Hauppage) is because I want the HD inputs of HDMI and component.
I'm not sure about the space.. I was hoping someone had the case or experience with it here that could assist I guess.
