Was it NcSpec that had one on water at almost 1Ghz?

With extra cooling I got mine to 900Mhz
I am not sure, I think so. He also sort of trolled the entire forum for turning a GTX 460 into a 480 I think, not so bad of a joke thread in itself, sadly though too many people actually tried it. I laughed really hard when I found out about it.

I know its not smart, but I also know my card will not burn. that is the difference. If i go to high I hit my reset button on my pc.

As long as you know the risks, can't stop you (feel bad for the GPU though ahha.) I anticipate worse case scenario. I don't even mess with OCP on my 580s after some nooblets melted theirs.

My suggestion to you would be stick a thermal probe behind the backplate and dead center where the "VRMs are cooking." I don't think they have a temp probe back there.

All that will come out of these is that the bios will basically lock the card so there won't be any overclocking headroom at all. Thanks to all of you complaining that didn't even buy the card. As long as the card runs fine @ stock nvidia has nothing to worry about really.
Seriously?
