off topic through i got a water cooled e6400 with 3.5gb of ram and a ati x1600 graphics card. would that be better for gaming?

the max it could go about +0.3 of the stock voltage that what i can do in the bios

Yeah you just need a better motherboard.I bought a biostar for an i3 build for 75.00 and it overclocked to 4.0 like it was nothing.

x1600 is old... Real old. Depends what games you play.

Are you even raising your voltage or are you just increasing the clock? Sounds like you aren't touching the voltage and expecting it to be stable, which it most likely won't be.

It could also be your RAM, you sure it's rated for 1333?

+.3v is a good bit of extra juice.

Usually you increase the voltage by units in the .01 range if not less.

If it's not performing in games, it's because you are using the intel on-board GPU from the i3 and not a dedicated graphics card like you should (at least according to your sig rig specs).

true ill probably get better ram and see what happens could I loosen the ram timings?
