I run a 5970 and 5870 tri-fire, though Im not playing at your resolution.. Ive played crysis at a 3360x1050 and I know I couldnt play the game as smooth as I would have liked on max settings (AA full, etc). I can tell you now, any FPS or stuttering you experience IS because of your video card memory. Thats over 6million pixels changing constantly, the amount of memory for that is more than 1gb. My 1gb video memory is what is holding me back from even getting a 3rd monitor. I would rather have great framerates and stunning graphics versus "console" graphics with barely enough fps for smooth game play.

Try all kinds of different drivers starting back at 10.2. Thats what I did till you find what works best with your system.
I want to find out what's going on with the stuttering before I try to fix other problems...
It's not a vram issue. Read the thread goodness.

Crossfire is not working.

Monitor gpu usage during a run.
How many bridges are you using, you only need 1 and make sure A1 is connected to the top card.
Connect the bridge to the finger towards the back.

And to be sure, go ahead and alt+ enter a couple time while the bench is running.

GPU-Z, CCC both show CFX enabled?

What makes you think crossfire is not working?
Min fps too low? Average fps too low?

One bridge, on the finger that is closest to the back of my case.

Ran the test again
GPU usage, as reported by MSI afterburner

CCC
Mins, max, avg it's all bad.

Let me run it at your speeds.
BTW I'm running 11.3 cats with the latest cap.

Also reset CCC to default settings, sometimes something in there gets borked.

With Crossfire DISABLED, I get a very consistent 15-20 fps. With Crossfire ENABLED...there's extreme fps dips all over the place.

Also, Afterburner shows extremely spotty GPU usage, but only in 5670x1080 mode.

My run, you should be within 10% of me.

Attachment 203730

Is Crysis fully patched?
Have you reset CCC to default settings?

You could try lower the memory clock, if error corrections is triggering you'll see a drop in performance.

Oh and you should run more than 1 loop, let the buffer fill up.

Yes it's fully patched.

Ok I'll run it one more time.
But before doing so, I will
1) Return memory clock to stock.
2) Change loop to 3
3) Reset all CCC settings to default

How were you able to get your GPU usage so high on both GPUs?? I've never seen it that high, in any application...
The last time I've seen my GPU linger in the above 90% was in a single card config.
Sb

But actually my X48/QX9650 gave me the same usage.

What could be the reason for my spotty/low GPU usage? It's probably causing all my problems.

Also, running the test now.

The 3 screen usage is normal, I see the same thing, even single screen 1600p does it, it's memory overflow.
I'll run 1600p and show you.
