Help with crossfire random stuttering - Page 5

Thread Starter
So I just finished running the test, and my GPU usage is in the 70-80 range.

I guess resetting all the settings in CCC worked. I don't know what I changed that caused it to be so low.

Also...is it abnormal that my fps was the same at 4xAA and 8xAA..?

More pics of low GPU usage (at 1920x1080):
Very good, something was obviously forced, either that or AI was disabled.

I'm running 1600p right now.

So how did your gpu usage look, I see it now.
And isn't scaling amazing?

And yeah x8 AA is broken in the benchmark tool.

Wouldn't worry about the usage, 4.5 on your proc will get that up, you're right where you should be, within 10% of me.

1600p

It's obvious there is a memory bottleneck.
But since you lined out CCC, maybe you'll do all right, just remember you won't be able to ran any AA at eyefin resolutions.

Glad I have solved that problem. Thank you for the help.

If at any res higher than 1080p causes low GPU usage...then I won't be too concerned.

But still, the main issue I want to solve is:
Why do I get more consistency (read: consistency, not higher fps) with a single card configuration at 5670x1080 than with crossfire at 5670x1080.

Even after you fixed the 1080 bugged runs?
Try dropping down to high IQ.

I don't have time tonight to reassemble my eyefin set up or I'd see if maybe there is a new driver bug going on.

Oh and how are other games?

It's almost as if each game has its own problem...
In Crysis, there's this annoying stutter and inconsistency.
In BFBC2, my fps counter is obviously lying to me because it certainly does not look like 60+ fps.
In Furmark after a few minutes the GPU usage of one GPU will decline and then there is an fps drop. (I have found this to be somewhat of a "universal" problem in all games)

And probably the biggest universal problem is my overclock automatically resetting itself. In the middle of game, my overclock will return itself back to stock settings. Randomly. I have to go back and re-set it.

At eyefin res, drop the iq to high

The above sounds like a driver reset, have you ran at stock settings?
Furmark could be throttling a card due to vddc temps, how hot do they get?

BC2 is that at all resolutions or just eyefin res?

Furmark at stock settings does the same thing.
Oh and I don't know.
I have non-reference cards that don't have VDDC temp sensors.

In BC2 it happens at all resolutions so long as it's in crossfire mode.

All the problems I've listed only occur in crossfire. In single card mode...everything was perfect. I loved it.

Also I forgot to mention that at 1000 memory and 1150 memory I got the same results.

HMM

I'm just about stumped on this one.
Both cards test fine individually?
Have you a spare bridge to try?
No junk running in the background?
Do the cards share the same bios?
Is ulps disabled?
Reformat recently?
Double checked that both pci-e lanes are running full speed?
Does Vantage give typical scores for your set up?

You could try an older driver, 10.3 was one of my favorites, and don't use driver sweeper.
