Ati 4870X2 & i7-2600K OC4,5Ghz problem

Hello,
i have a problem with the graphics card Ati 4870X2. When you overclock the CPU i7-2600K to 4.5 GHz, for some reason reduced graphics performance in games. The processor is stable, but after two minutesas you start the game the first few minutes everything seems fine, but the time will jump to -20 FPS shots down.

The fundamental frequency of the processor without overclocking it's ok and poor performance graphics card is not happening !

The motherboard was replaced and it is the same.

So an example:
same settings and one point in the game
CoD4 - CPU OC 4,5Ghz - 250Fps - few minutes and 230Fps
Cysis2 - CPU OC 4,5Ghz - 50Fps - few minutes and 30Fps

no OC
CoD4 - CPU Default 3,7Ghz - 250Fps - few minutes and 250Fps
Cysis2 -CPU Default 3,7Ghz - 40Fps - few minutes and 40Fps

system:
- P8P67
- i7-2600K
- 8Gb ram Corsair
- PSU Corsair 1000W
- Ati 4870X2

info:
- driver vga and chipset last
- last version bios motherboard
- both cores are active graphics card - GPUZ
- temperatures CPU max 65C and GPU max 70C are fine

Thanks for any idea...

I guess it might be some TDP control over the CPU, not likely to be on the PCI-lane, by the board, causing the frequency to throttle down and maintain heat in desired levels... You should see an option for that in BIOS i believe, but not 100% sure where it should be.

Personally, I think it's either a problem dualchip graphics or saving features CPU in bios.
I do not know where it would otherwise be a problem and it bothers me a lot.

There have been a few issues with P67 boards and the 4870X2, yes, but most of them were GPU shutting down or not being able to boot.

A few days ago I stopped working the second core, but the old drivers operate without problem months, I had to put the latest drivers and then everything was fine.

How overclock CPU at a higher frequency of the performance GPU - FPS in game starts to fall ... irony.
