Strictly looking at Brown and Clear switches for purpose of this thread. I have a blue switch keyboard and I were to get another I would buy either the Das Professional or OCN Ducky regular edition. However, I am looking to try Brown/Clear switches.

Right now prices look like this:
OCN Ducky Special Edition (Cherry MX Brown): $140 + Shipping
DAS S (Cherry MX Brown): $135 + 20% discount (code LANWAR11) + Free Shipping = $108
Deck Legend Frost (Cherry MX Clear): $176

I would have looked at the Deck Legend Ice for $8 cheaper, but it isn't in stock until August according to their site.

The clear switches are supposed to be stiffer browns and a bit more tactile feedback. Other than that they seem the same.

And yes, I do an even balance of gaming and typing (or perhaps a bit more typing and I do like my MX blues, but again, wanting to try a quality brown/blue keyboard).

The most feasible is the DAS S. However, I am coming here for your opinions, experience, or any relevant data/reviews on these three mechanical keyboards. If you are not sure why someone would spend so much on a mechanical keyboard visit this thread.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I know I am going to get a lot of people who say Ducky OCN Special Edition because it is OCN. I am looking for more than just a fanboy or "support a cause" answer. Not trying to offend, but I am looking for those with experience using one or more of these keyboards, those that have done a bit of research themselves, etc.tongue.gif

Well at the prices you have, I'd go w/ the DAS. But the flame esc key on the Ducky is pretty pimp.

From what I have researched the Deck Legend is supposed to be better than either of the other two. However, it is substantially more expensive.

And then there is question of which is better between the Ducky and DAS? Back in the day it was Filco or DAS? It seemed to be an even split on that one. But, now we have Leopold which is still too new to tell.

Some people whine about their Deck keyboards, especially the font used on the keys. If you want to be cheap I go for the DAS S, but you will get shiny keys unless you buy the blank version.

You mean blank keys. They both will get shiny.

Which of course means in the end it doesn't matter. We all die Otaku.

Did you email Das? I remember the student discount being 24%, a bit more than that 20% coupon code would get you.

What to just balance out or because you are informed ?

Both really. In that situation, I'd go for the Das.
