I did the exact same thing with my new Audioengine P4's. You're going to keep them and love them. Those speakers will last 20 years or more... what's 20 bucks a year for solid audio in the house? I went from wanting to return mine to buying a receiver, to a sub...

OK. I'm about 90% sure I am going to keep them. I came across the Original Rokit 6's for $125 w/free shipping online. Should I keep the newer version Rokit 5's for $300 or get original Rokit 6's for $250?

Finally hooked them up. I really like them even though haven't had a chance to turn up the volume. It's funny I started watching a movie I've seen a hudred times and thought I was hear noises in the house. Come to find out I was hearing sounds in the movie that I never heard previously.

These speakers are great. No matter how loud I put them there is no distortion. I guess they could use a little more bass but that's what a subwoofer is for. Anyone know a good subwoofer ~ $100? I'm running out of money, just spent $900 on the wife's car.

The Rockit sub is more than twice the price of the RP5G2 set. It does not add a lot of bass quantity, but the bass does go lower.

They can be found for a reasonable price used of course.
