I dunno about the speaker part, haven't got my mobo's manual with me, gonna google that...

and btw, it's a constant beep because squealing can be recognised because of the changing pitch or noise tongue.gif

I'm willing to bet it's a squeal that sounds like a beep, even if it isn't changing pitch.

yh the build is around 6 months old, it booted with this kind of beep before, way back when I first time started my computer and I was testing with some clocks for my RAM, higher the clock I go, higher to beep.

I can still boot into windows, there was no beep before, but I recently moved my pc from my old house to the new one about 2 weeks ago, afterwards I checked all the components to make sure they are fine.

This beeping started 2 days ago, just when I booted up my pc, as it went into windows 7, the beeping started, and it has been with me ever since. Even when I'm in BIOS.

I think it's mobo, since the fact I changed my RAM's frequency a bit higher and the beeping noise went higher... but before I always had 1700mhz without any beeping, why now?

the funniest thing is, whenever my fan speed on my 480 goes higher than 60%, the beeping/squeaking stops

any ideas guys?

You're positive it's not this?

There's no speaker on the GPU, and a case speaker wouldn't be hard to locate.

Does it stop when you manually put the fan speed higher or only when the drivers/fan profile up the fan speed under load?

Thanks for the help, the sound is kinda like that however it does not change pitch as seen in the video...

On the same note, my resolution was also ****ed up, BIOS and Windows do not recognise my native resolution of 1920x1080, instead they push me onto 480p...

I reinstalled windows and the problem still persists... my game only recognises resolutions for up to 1280x720, even if I add the resolutions in nvidia control panel.

The beeping only stops when the fan goes up when the GPU is under use, if I push the fan with afterburner, the beeping still continues.

The lack of a change in pitch doesn't mean much. It's coil whine. It's typically caused by insane framerates causing ridiculous voltage, in itself it isn't a bad thing, but it isn't good either. For starters, open the Nvidia control panel, and under "Manage 3D Settings" on general settings throw Vsync to "Force On" and tell us if that does anything about the whining.

As for the resolution, re-install the drivers and see if that does anything.

Let's work from there.

I forced the vSync on, and reinstalled the drivers but no luck

Ok, I'm assuming both the whine and resolution are still present.

Starters, take the card out and re-seat it, see if anything changes. Then, on the Nvidia control panel, make sure that "power management mode" is set to adaptive.
