So next time before you jump to whatever dumbass conclusion you want and then talk **** maybe be polite and ask me first?

I got to say this community seems to be filled with alot of trollers looking for threads to talk **** on. No wonder the console kids hate PC gamers.

I spent 300 on upgrading to sandy and you think bulldozer would have been cheaper?lmao bulldozer is FX wich means bust out your bank loans buddy. I bet you here and now that bulldozer will not be under 300.lol that would have costed a ton more than my sandy. Christ do some research my man.

Most games are just console ports or don't use more than 4 cores,so of course you won't see any difference from a quad to a hexa core.

TLDR....Then maybe the intel people should stop basing & trolling the AMD side who are still happy with their CPU's.

^this.
Btw, how are you gonna go about skipping BD? AMD doesn't have anything coming up after BD so far but a on chip die GPU/ better revision later on.

This sums up my opinion about this lolthread.

Another X6 user made the switch and shares his very positive results but the AMD clan fires off excuses left and right as to why the AMD chip couldn't keep up with his GPU's.

"That extra FPS is useless"

"Its your low resolution noob. Buy 3 monitors so your X6 can keep up with a huge GPU bottlenecked resolution"

"Compare them at the same clock speed for a fair comparison, who cares if the i5 overclocks much higher, THATS NOT FAIR"

To reiterate what Damn_smooth said, i guess you did not read it.
This is the AMD SIDE OF THE FORUM... a kid comes in whining and QQ'ing that AMD gives them 20FPS less, then bashes every AMD user in the thread, obviously he's gonna get flamed.
Wow... fanboy more? Those three things are quite true, and you know it.
The extra frames,are indeed useless.
To fully put a load on either system he needs a res of at least 1080P.
Comparing clock for clock at the same speeds is the only way to really do a fair fight in benchmarks ,which are optimized for intel code anyway.

The OP clearly stated that he was just sharing his experience and that those running with lots of GPU power would probably see a large jump in performance if they were still on a phenom II chip. Which is why the title of this thread is that an x6 CAN be a bottleneck. Read the first post again, it doesn't look like hes bashing anything.

However, I recently purchased a sandy bridge 2500k and OC'd to 4.5 Ghz did not change any other thing. Now my GPU usage is at 99% solid on each. Im getting 100% scaling on my setup and its awesome. Its funny that moving from a six core to a quad core is what did the trick. It comes down to the architecture. So far Intel has it. I am not a fanboy of either right now I just go with what has best options.

I am not posting bashing AMD I still love AMD but, just trying to help anybody whop may be in the same situation. You should be getting the most out of what you pay for not settling due to pride.

Please dont flame just trying to help others out.

The truth shouldn't offend you or upset you, this is just computer hardware.
