Hey guys,

I have been doing a lot of reading here on the forums and been wanting to build a new system for a couple weeks now. I dont have that much cash but still want to buy something that i can upgrade and add more to later. Budget is about $900.00 on the bare components. My 6 year old P4 turd has finally died leaving me with just its case to work with. None the less here is the list.

CPU of course the i2500k Link
MB Asrock p67 extreme4 (B3) Link
Galaxy 70XKH3HS3CUB GeForce GTX 470 Link
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM Link
CORSAIR Vengeance 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Link
Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W Continuous Power Link
LITE-ON Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X Link

I know i should add another stick of ram but that total is right around $750.00. But there is a need for some better cooling of course! And i can always add when the system is up and running.

Cooling just for the CPU and NB
XSPC Rasa 750 RX240 CPU watercooling kit @ $169.00 from jab-tech
Still looking for the NB waterblock.. Alphacool?? $30-40 ish?

Let me know what you think? I know that this PSU will prob not be able to supply enough juice for SLI later down the road, AND that i should add more ram as soon as possible.. But you think that this current setup will be able to support 4.4-4.7 ish OC? what about the graphics card? should i step into the 560 series? A little lost right now on what to doo! Please help me out!

Thanks!

Hmm. Sounds like a nice build. I would say rather go for an GTX560 Ti, and leave the water-cooling for a Noctua DH14 cooler. You will still be able to overclock really nicely and then from the money you save get another 4GB ram stick. Your NB should be fine as it is, just make sure you have some nice airflow in the case.

Happy building yo.

So no NB required then id spend that money on another stick of ram!

i do want to stay with water cooling bc i just like the space it gives me in the case and it will be easier to clean when it gets dusty! And i have never done a under water venture yet so im anxious to see the turn out. I am going to order some of the components today! and i will post how my build goes when everything comes in!

Thanks a lot guys i really do appreciate it!
