5770 and psu - Page 2

Register your card and you'll be in the "Sapphire Select Club". As being part of that, you get 5 special promotions per year, sometimes games, sometimes other things.

A good 450W will suffice.
I recommend at least 500W.

You don't need alot of room for a 5770 so it should fit in almost everything but you can measure to make sure. And who cares what games come with a GPU?
This should have NO bearing on what GPU you choose.

This is about what you should be looking for.

sometins they bundle a game with some edition of a graphic card
some give you game some don't
if it doesn't say you get a game, you don't

you can register your graphic card at sapphire gold club and you get 5 promotions during a year
promotions are random, and nothing is free, now for example i believe you can use one of your promotions to get a 20% discount on battlefield bad company vietnam expansion, don't think you will get 5 free games per year

oh my people

The 5770 doesnt use much power, it is fine to run it off that psu with room to spare
a 5770 is good for that resolution, I have a 5770 and it runs most games on very high at 1080p so it will be fine at your resolution.

Pfft, outdated I think not! My Xfired 5770's can hold their own against the bigger cards (58xx, GTX 4xx, etc).

Get a 500watt PSU MINIMUM! Don't skimp out on a psu, ever, it isn't fun when your components decide to bite the bullet because you bought a cheap PSU or an underpowered one. The 5770's use one 6pin connector, you won't need anything more than that for now.

He probably got it on sale at one point, I got mine for $95.00each before taxes (on sale plus my discount at a local shop).

no, there is no point in getting a 500 watt power supply if he isnt going to be using that much power. I bought my psu before I knew anything about power supplies, but if I were buying one for my current rig, I would buy something like that corsair or another power supply of similar capacity and the GTX460 uses more power than the 5770.

He was talking about GTX460 when he asked where you could buy for 110, 5770s are easy to find at that price
