it doesn't happen very often though and regularly. im just saying. and the fact that a few video games have only done it so far is probably not enough reason to risk spending $100 million into a video game and hope that you will profit.

crysis 1 was probably a great game, i don't know, i thought it was average but everyone here thought it was spectacular. crysis 1 didn't sell very well and the rest is w/e.

now these days, you need to wait for dice, valve or blizzard or some other pc gaming gods everyone here adulates, to make something and two out of three of those companies makes regular releases. either that or wait for some indie dev to make some autistic crap like minecraft.

I'm not even waiting for those devs, if any of those devs can make more money selling to the console market they would. I want them to make big money but don't lie about the PC version like the article said. DICE has experience with making decent multiplatform games so they know how to please everyone.

Which dev spent $100M on game development? Last I heard $30-50 million for a AAA title, but sounds like I'm wrong.
I think development budgets are getting out of hand since they keep delivering rehashed content.

I agree with most of their points, but we can't do much to change devs' minds. Sure we can whine about a few things here and there, like dedicated server or DX11 patch, but for the most part we'll just get console ports. MS and Sony spend millions or maybe even billions to promote their platform and pay developers to not release a PC version (Heavy Rain, Alan Wake), we as gamers really can't compete with that. So if we can't beat them, join them. Get a console for all the console ports.
