Max safe temps for gtx 590

Thread Starter
I have seen where most posts say Nvidia cards have a max safe temp of about 85C. Does this still hold true for the 590's as well??

I have mine OC'd to 700 core...Nothing changes on the voltage...and am hitting about 75C on both cores with the fan at 70%...

Max is a 105c before a you go into thermal melt down. You want to stay in area below 95c. But for me I like my cards below 85c when stressing the cards out. Anything over that makes me find anyway to cool my gpu

NV says 97°c, GF100 was 105°c.

Is that on load?

If you are worried about heat and or noise, you may want to consider some after market cooling.

This is very good... http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vga/18/accelero-xtreme-plus.html?c=2182

Ive one strapped to my 470 and it never breaks 52c during games or folding. Hits 61 with the new furmark. Its very quiet too smile.gif

Sorry, I read 580, not 590

97c on GF110. But try and keep it lower if you want it to last.
