Need help figuring out what Shader Model my GPU is

I'm a little confused on how to scale the Shader Model of my GPU

I'm reading reviews on games and what there requirements are and one game said it had a requirement of a shader model 3.0 or higher. I know the shader model goes something like this, 128 MB graphic card has pixel shader 2.0
256 MB has 3.0 but the thing I'm confused about is, does the 128mb mean the dedicated memory of the GPU or does it mean the bit?

Like my GPU is a ATI 5750 - 128bit and 1G of memory so what is my shader model? 2.0 or 3.0?

It's 4.0. You really don't need to worry about those kinds of specifications, the 5xxx series of cards will run any modern game out there that uses DirectX 9. It's just a matter of running it well enough, at playable framerates.
