sigh... just want Steel Battalions ported to the PC... (sheds a little tear for the mech genre)... even a Heavy Gear 3 would be something...

There are cheap adaptors you can buy online that will allow you to connect up old xbox controllers that you can also get to run the Steel Battalion controller...if you manage to find some of the driver software people made floating around on the net. Sadly since it's so old the software is a tad hard to come by.

I lost the copy I had of the drivers when a hard drive died on me and haven't attempted to find them again. However while I did have it setup I used the controller for MW..4? I think it was, as well as some space sims, and even tried it out on a racing game or two lol.

Another issue was which OS the drivers were compatible with. As I remember they ran ok in XP but didn't really function under Vista (no clue about 7, didn't have it at the time).

offtopic, but:
Are you saying FPS were slow paced in the early days?
Because Quake 1,2,3, HLDM, CS, UT etc etc were all faster than any FPS on the market now.
I just don't wanna be put in the corner of the current-day cod kids when I say I enjoy fast paced fps.

Maybe it was developed with UDK or UE3? Don't know :/.
Yep - it's powered by Unreal Engine. That was the first thing I noticed, too
