I had the same hatred for HP and Compaq. It was all based on the pre built POS systems they came out with.
My 25" HP 2509m LCD, however, is the best performing monitor I've ever used.

Dell prebuild on 1995-2000 was pretty good. Always score in books magazine top 3 in high budget.

You guys put out a lot of valid points. I think in the end it has to do with almost every single one. I don't like the blatant commercial nature of DELL, I don't particularly like the word and I definitely hate the "Dell Guy." Thank you fellow board mates for letting me come to this very important conclusion. lol
