msdia80.dll on G: Drive?

Hi, I have been tidying up my computer and found the stray msdia80.dll file in the root of my G: Drive (which contains nothing but game installs).

Now after doing some searching I found lots of 2 year old threads saying that you needed to move the file to its correct folder and then use a program to re-register it (or something similar). The problem is that there is already a newer, yet smaller msdia80.dll file within the folder I'm told to move the file to.

Can I assume it's safe to delete the msdia80.dll in my G: Drive without issues or is it there for some other reason?

Thanks smile.gif

I forget exactly what it is but I think it creates itself on whatever drive has the most free space.

Ok, I'll leave it in the recycle bin or move it somewhere else so that if I need to put it back I can.

Thanks for the replies.
