I7 2600K and Silver Arrow Temps?

Thread Starter
Hello All,

I apologize if this is in the incorrect forum, but I thought I'd try =). I have just installed a SA on a i7 2600k. Currently seeing 32C-38C idle temps and load averaging 55C-57C. I thought that this might be odd so I re-sat the SA and the temps are about the same. Don't know my room temperature, but its a bit warm. Just wondering if I should be expecting lower temps at idle/load.

Thanks in advance!

Are your loads while you prime? They seem about right if you're in a place with hotter ambient temps (like HK ). My 2600K with a Cogage Arrow + 2 Yates sits around 61C folding at 4.5. My friend's 2500K with SA sits around 63C at 4.7 running prime.

But it should be those temps at stock speed. Silver Arrow trades blows with my NH-D14. I had a 1090T @ 45c and 965 @ 55c both at 4.0ghz and in a hot room. My room temp was around 29c (85f).

I don't think the 1090T and 2600K are a good comparison directly. Ignoring ambients for a moment, HT is going to add a few degrees regardless of OC/Stock no?

@OP : are fans maxed or auto ?

Also, could you fill out the rest of your system specs
