Nexus S is soppose to have a great camera, it is a good music player. Just go play with those phones and pick the one you like they are all great phones. If you want something thats great out of the box go Iphone, if you like to mod go Android, you can also check those wp7 phones too.

I've got the X10, and even though it is a 1/2 year old phone, it beats most phones out these days, 8mp camera / 720p recording, 1GHZ ARM CPU also, its getting the 2.3 android update in the summer, so you shouldn't be stuck with 2.1 for too long (SE are skipping 2.2, heading straight to 2.3) also, my friend has the iphone, and IMHO it is horrible, the camera is good, but it just doesn't look good as a phone. the X10 has a bigger screen which can play MKV and other video formats, and due to the fact that it is android, everything is customisable, downloading roms and themes is really easy once you've rooted.
EDIT: the screen is scratch resistant, it doesn't scratch easy.

I guess its down to what you prefer in a phone, the Desire and all android phones just have way too much going on on-screen and too many different customizable settings, When you look at an android phone you have to study it for a second to figure out whats going on. The iPhone's UI is static and more user friendly easy to use.

Thread Starter
I just wanted to thank everyone for their time and effort with giving me ideas for a new phone.

I've been looking at reviews and if I had to chose one right now it would be the Desire HD. But I think I might wait it out a bit and see if any of the final products of the dual core phones tickles my fancy. If they don't it's a win, win because then the Desire HD will be cheaper

Anyway just want to thank you all again for your help.
