Going under water :D

Thread Starter
I have around 200€ to spend in a watercooling system. I was thinking of the Rasa 240 kit for the CPU and probably NB too. But there is a problem: I don't know a **** about watercooling xD So could you help me get what I need to get this working? Thanks

The kit has the pump/resevoir, radiator, fans and tubing. So i think that I'll need to get the liquid (distilled water right?) and maybe a nice dye. Is it all?

most people say go with colored tubes bc dyes can clog the pumps

i would not read the essencials thread.
it helped me, if u gonna spend the money do the research.
after i did only was undesided on the fans and controler.
dont use dyes, if u want the bling get uv tubing and some uv lights, u wont clog components, and it will last longer too, dyes loose effect.
happy reading

I'd drop the motherboard block. Most of the time there's no need for it and they typically add a lot of the restriction to the loop. Just keep it as a cpu only loop unless you know for sure that your board needs it or if you don't mind spending a hundred bucks for aesthetics lol.

Thanks for the help! So besides the kit I'll need just the distilled water right?

Is srsly distilled water all you need? Ive seen alot of ppl that mixes distilled water with some other stuff, cant remember why they use it... Perhaps some skilled salesman pursued them to buying it
post #9 of 11
Yep some distilled water and a silver kill coil/PT Nuke is all you need.

If I was ever going to switch to water cooling, I wouldn't buy a kit. I would get separate parts and do the loop my self, as I'd find it extremely exciting to build and I would be more proud of my self xD Also stock kits are not cool :/ I like to make everything I am able to custom.
