Replacing an HP Compaq nx7400 charger with a non-genuine one?

The pin in the charger connector for an HP nx7400 broke so I'm looking to buy a new one without spending the usual 30-40 Euro for a so called "original" in stores.
Looked it up in E-bay and found a replacement for it costing 8.50 Euro and also looked up "original HP" and it returned one costing 14 Euro indicating a label with HP text written on it.

non-genuine:

genuine:

Anyway my question is, is it worth buying a "genuine" part when it comes to chargers?

Thanks for the help

So long as it puts out the same voltage and can provide enough wattage, it will be fine.

Thanks, those were my exact thoughts. I mean how different can chargers "perform" anyway ?
