Yeah, I don't get the CoD benches:

"Yay! We can get over 100FPS from every card from the last 3 years!"

This is why I usually end up falling out with staff that I write for.

I remember seeing a review of the 480 lightning. It said "If you have a 480 sell it and get this !!!".

From where I come from that is terrible advice. Yes, the lightning was an astounding piece of kit, but why would you need to replace your existing 480? They're still fast enough to net you over 30FPS min in pretty much every game on the market

This is where my reviews came in. I don't review to push product on people, I review to speak the truth. In other words, you don't need to throw out your hardware every ten minutes in some OCD like ritual to gain a few more FPS that unless you were superman (or played with Vsync disabled) you could ever notice.

uhhh, it's 1 GB per GPU just like it is with two seperate 460's (1GB on each one), so I don't see how you can say the 460 2Win has 1GB more RAM when it's exactly the same.

Maybe you think because its single PCB the RAM adds up or something, but no it does not.

Now if we're talking about price, production costs for two seperate 460's are actually higher than just taking two GPU's and placing it on one pcb, since most of the small components of 1 card can be used to run 2 GPU's aswell.
Only a few components really get doubled when making a dual GPU card, like the RAM chips and VRM phases.

So yes, the 460 2Win is way overprized compared to 2x GTX 460.

So it's just like the GTX 480, except that it's shorter and costs even less money.

Got an emailer from evga a few weeks back about this card. Same arguements hold true today as they did then. Essentially, evga wants to sell you (2) 460's for a premium of $215/piece, when you can get the same performance for almost $180 less if you shop around. Of course, this is assuming you have dual or better pcie slot mobo, which I'm guessing most of us do. If you have the cash, though.... a folding farmers dream. 4 of those in a rig would knock out some serious points.
